I can go fishing anywhere in Oregon, where to go

Upper lower Deschutes could be good, opportunities for both steelhead and writer trout can be really good in winter so double down on species in the same location with just some different rigs

I can go fishing anywhere in Oregon, where to go

If you want to specifically target bulls then your best bet is the metolius, if your fly fishing you better bring some big rods if your targeting them unless you want to break off or possibly break gear. Think 8wt single hand as a minimum. Bulls elsewhere are illegal to deliberately target...

    Show your Trophy 2018

Caught several in different species, but steelhead on the swing is my biggest passion. So I'll have to go with this one.

    Oregon steelhead fishing (2010 - 2021)

Went to do an early season scout trip for winter steelhead while scouting for places to swing later in the season. First spot and second run of the day hooked up with an explosive grab and take. The kind you don't have to even set, just took off then he tried to fight it out down deep with some...

    Mix bag

Been OFF the last week as work has been slow and did a bunch of day trip fishing. North Umpqua, Metolious, McKenzie, Willamette, and a few others along the way. Tough conditions but there are some great fish to be had between our fall and winter transition. Just get out there and try to get away...

    Where's the spey folk?

That's how I've been fishing, from my pontoon. It's totally worth it and you owe it to yourself to do the float

    Where's the spey folk?

Two hand rods are amazing tools and really cover a lot of water with little effort

    Where's the spey folk?

Sorry to hear that, I fear my shoulder is getting pretty bad and I've been avoiding surgery as of yet. Being a commercial carpenter has definitely taken a toll on my body over the years and I'm not even that old. The Sandy river is awesome, went the first time this year during the Sandy spey clave

    Where's the spey folk?

There is no comparison on the tug from a swung fly for sure, that's how I fish it too. That's something I haven't actually done yet but have wanted to do, sea run cutties. Outside of tide water are the rivers still open to fish them? I've been a little confused when I read the regs if I can or...

    Where's the spey folk?

Who else loves the two hand rod game? It's something I love to do and a way to fish I enjoy. It would be nice to see who else on here has the addition and passion for this style or if you're just interested feel free to chime in as well. Skagit, scandi, mid belly spey, micro spey, or single...

    Low water and pontoon boats

Thanks, been really busy fishing a lot this year. My new buddy is a fly fishing pro photographer and helping him trying to get some great shots for work since he moved from Colorado here. He's a great fly fisher and good guy and Stewart for it area

    Oregon steelhead fishing (2010 - 2021)

Posted in fly fishing but thought was worth sharing here, was a good day for swinging flies

    Low water and pontoon boats

With low water on the rivers and less traffic from drift boats and summer floaters, fishing and solitude have been pretty solid. I strictly swing this time of the year with spey rods for both steelhead and trout. (Steelhead year round 100% spey) A buddy of mine and I did a float with the rain...
