On my aluminum boat I got a small aluminum plate about 1/8 inch thick approx. 4"X6" and mounted the transducer to that and then mounted the plate to the boat hull.I don't think yours will work there, when you are on plane.It will have too much turbulence. good luck

I hear it can be hot fishing if you hit it right, I missed the fish also. That pretty much sums up my experiance there also.I waited a little to long to head out,quit the hike (old leggs) pretty dark when I got back to the rig.I'm sure there was a cougar or bear folloing me up the trail:pray...

Its got more to do with freeboard than the length of your boat.I take my 12ft Klamath every where except Astoria and the fishery near Bon. Dam, it has 18in. sides.I also do not go across the chanel(Or. to Wa.) if the weather is sketchy, remember if the wind waves kick up it will take you longer...

Even I-m7's break on hook-set.The only rod I have ever broke on the river in over 45yrs fishing.Traded it(+$50.00) on a Lammi.Three years latter Lammi still going strong.
