Hi Upstate88.
Always tossed drys up until recently. Stated to tie nymphs this past summer and had some luck. I just nailed this book a few weeks back and could not recommend it enough. A little detailed...but well worth every penny if you really want to dive into the nymph world...
Just upriver from the first bridge off of the Miami Foley road. he was tossing tiny chartreuse corkies with splitshot. I guess there were some monster Chinooks in there. The guy down river from him snapped a nice Sage rod.
Hi,
Anyone been up to Eagle Creek Hatchery outside of Estacada since the rains have rolled in? Was gonna bounce out Sunday and was wondering if anyone has heard of any coho rolling up through there.
Thx!
Thanks Troumasta!
Hi Sapo > There were quite a few folks there and a few Coho a rollin. Saw quite a few fish holding upriver from the big logjam as well. Hopefully this rain brings in some more.
Hooked up, kissed and released a nice little native Chinook on the Sandy yesterday. nailed it on a uv pink double barrel eyed pattern I tied. Great day to be on the river.
