Siltcoos Lake mid December worth a try?

GaryP1958 I believe this fish was caught where you are claiming. Doesn't excuse or explain the fact that you doctored the photo solely to attempt to mislead viewers, and discredit the validity of rogerdodger 's posted information. I caught this SRC 3 weeks ago up by Maple Arm. This fish cut...

Siltcoos Lake mid December worth a try?

GaryP1958 Attempting to deceive and mislead with that "forgazi" photo of a SRC is Bush League at best. First off, the date and time in the lower right corner is suspect, due to the month and year indicated. Second, the pelvic fin visible in the frame is half missing. Third, the lateral line is...

    Waldo area

Charlton Lake is close to Waldo, so not far of a hike. But, there is a trail that goes around the lake (at least halfway, as that is as far as I have been on the trail) and it can be a nice hike, with fishing options as well. You can drive and park close to the lake, or hike from your camp spot...

    Got some fishing in

A few smallmouth form our Umpqua trip hobster. Mag-lip 2.0 craw-fish pattern was my best lure that day. Rapala craw-fish was the second best lure that day for me. Fun fish to catch!

Port of Coos Bay/Charleston this summer...

The Charleston Marina RV park also has 3 yurts available to rent. Last I checked, the website for the RV park was not working correctly, so you would have to call and ask the office about available times. Gulfstream is correct about Tuna season, the area can be busy at times, but I think that is...

    Oregon steelhead fishing (2010 - 2021)

Went out yesterday with rogerdodger and hobster in our "new" old drift boat that we went in on together. Second time taking her down the river, and we were able to get one in the net. A nice little buck with lots of energy, hooked on a 12mm soft bead under a float. rogerdodger with the net...

    Oregon steelhead fishing (2010 - 2021)

Went out yesterday to a coastal creek I like to fish when my regular river is blown-out. Water color was slate grey and flow/level was excellent. Ended up going 1 for 2 in non-stop raining conditions. Took home an "egg wagon" hatchery hen 25" in length, and lost a dark buck with deep red sides...

    Simpson Reef hat trick

Looks like a great day in the salt Roger! Amazing how hard fighting those ocean fish are, that stiff rod has a huge bend in it!
