    Sevylor Fish Hunter

JT, this just proves that a boat is money hole. I wanted just a simple inflatable and was willing to spend a $100. Than I needed oars, pump, vests. I started thinking about fish finder, trolling motor, but you need battery, and chargers. It never ends :) Check this one out...

    Sevylor Fish Hunter

Yeah floors are important, the Fishhunter has two rodholders for trolling and a place to put a motor (costs about $70) , or you can troll paddling but if you get a fish is so hard to get to your rod because of the soft floor. There are cheap pontoon boats, about $150 from JI Joes you can check...

    Sevylor Fish Hunter

Hi Combat Chuck, I have the Fishhunter 280. It is fun, durable boat for the money. I paid $100 for it. I took it out only 3 times last summer and did not fish a lot. This was my first boat and I needed to learn how to move around. I had some water coming in the boat and I wasn't sure if it was...

    Bethany Pond and Commonwealth Lake

So they jump mostly in the widest part which is towards middle of the lake, close to the houses there. I would love to catch some big carp there bu I dont have the patience to wait for one :). I might try stocked trout on corn and in that way I can catch some carp also.

    Walleye from the bank

Hi, there is plenty of bank fishing options on the Multnomah channel. I fished there last summer but I was very disappointed, I didint catch anything. There are many lakes on Souvie Island, the one that I really like is Hadelman Pond, it is stocked with trout , besides that I am not sure what...

    Bethany Pond and Commonwealth Lake

Hi, I live nearby Bethany pond and I plan to go there this weekend. In both lakes there are stocked trout. People say that there are Bass and Catfish but I have never got one. At Bethany there are big fish jumping out of the water and I think this is Carp. I personally don't like the...

    Lure suggestions?

You know I tried roostertails, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, topwater, plastic worms and nothing worked for me at hagg lake. I am usually fishing on the rocks at the dam and never had a bait. May be it is my technique and may be it is the fish. I was able to catch fish at the west salish pond using...

Fish jumping out of the water is it Carp?

Yeah carp love corn. Especially fresh corn. I am talking about the common carp, the one that jumps in boats I think is the asian carp. Once the weather warms up I am planning to make a trip to the Roster Rock State Park and try my luck with some corn.

    Catfish on Multnomah Channel

Yeah I would love to trow a rod for carp and then fish with a spinerbait for other species. BTW you are allowed to have more than one hook on your line, right? At least this is how i read the regulations.

    Catfish on Multnomah Channel

One problem with the gilbert river ramp for me is the huge amount of boats passing by. Do you think that the boats scare the fish? One bait that I would love to use is alive fish or frog but I know it is illegal in Oregon. Also the chumming is great thing when done properly but I don't know why...

Fish jumping out of the water is it Carp?

Hey guys, Last year I was fishing in Bethany Pond for stocked trout and there were some very big fish jumping out of the water. Some people said it is Bass but I think it is Carp. I haven't catch any Carp there but I saw something similar when fishing at Rooster Rock Park and on the Multnomah...

    Catfish on Multnomah Channel

Thank you all for the good information. chris61182 I was fishing pretty much at the same place and.....with the same success. The place looks like it can hold fish but I was very disappointed from the results. I have been only once to the Gilbert river ramp, probably I should try it again. Hey...

    Catfish on Multnomah Channel

Hey guys, what is your experience with catfishing from the shore on the Moltnomah channel. I tried last summer using nightcrallers and hotdogs but without any success. I even tried dipping the hotdogs in "Assjuise" scent but it didint work. Any advise?
