And there is one secret stretch that produces footballs. (My buddy caught 3 of the biggest rainbows I've ever seen around burns oregon) and lakes...

    Any shark fishermen around?

Could always try. I think really any beaches, I know they can be caught in seaside. Or the columbia near the mouth. But I do think that watching the weather will improve chances. Warmer weather moving in, nice bloody bait under a balloon should get em.

    Salmon/steelhead in Albany? Anyone?

#5 produce fish, perhaps more just because I fish fives more often. I save the 6 for bull trout and salmon. But I have seen many times the upgrade in size make a difference in the very next cast or soon. I will be on the santiam tomorrow and im not planning on a skunk trip :)

So I am curious if anyone knows about catching salmon and steelhead nearby. Peticularly At bowman park on the middle fork of the willamette in town. Or the N santiam about 10 minutes away. Also the S santiam is a little farther as well as dexter dam on the W. So I know the santiams are...

I want to to excercise my large fishing gear and all I see is Buncha rockfish and surf perch guys. I love catching those too but I want to listen to my drag scream and test...

    McKenzie river fishing methods

Yep C&R artificials. Suprised it's not barbless lol. Anyways if your tossing spinners in moving water rooster tails work okay but can have trouble spinning sometimes. I have more luck with blue foxes or Panther Martins, panthers spin with less effort I think and fish more effectively. Bud...
