    Willy report 5/6/11

We launched yesterday at 4:30pm and fished between Wilsonville and Newberg, bite was really slow. We managed eleven still but nothing of any real size, few around a pound. Purple tubes on the bottom caught most, purple/red smallie beaver got a few as well. Water is crazy high still and water...

    Willy 7/21

I used to NEVER drop shot....but once I started it really does work. Especially when the bite is really tough, drop back to 15-30 feet and drop shot and it's a great way to get bites. Really good bigger fish strategy as well.

    Drop Shot Question

I HIGHLY recommend drop shotting, I probably catch 70% of my bass this way year round regardless of the season. Live Bait would work though i would stick to plastic worms, just as effective and you wont run the risk fo the fish gutting it if you are practicing catch and release

    Any Bass lately?

My buddy and I fished green peter this past saturday. Water temp was a chilly 45 degrees, though we each did manage one bass, our first January bass so we were pretty pleased about that. He caught his on a dart jig head with a green tube, i caught mine drop shotting a 6 inch lizard. Both were...

    Trout around Portland?

Nice work, and isn't the kastmaster great, i pretty much only use lures for trout since i C&R and it almost never fails, my favorite is when you show up and everyone is using bait and you start catching a few fish on the kastmasters and then they switch over.
