They are pesky! I was bassin' at fern ridge the other day and I was casting a small rapala alongside the dock, well I casted on to the dock and a seagull grabbed my rapala and flew OFF! Broke my line and got my lure, I hope it did not try to eat it!

I had that happen to me at JCP, I was reeling in my last fish and I saw the osprey diving toward it. I yelled at the osprey, but it ignored me, took my fish,broke my line and took my brand new kastmaster!! It was pretty cool though.

I hear that! Unfortunately, whenever I see jacks like that I am somewhere where there is no phone service! Hopefully the fish gods take care of 'em in those situations.

Yeah, I can't stand it either, me and my wife were there yesterday, and had some idiot come down to our spot and get right between us and start fishing. I was re rigging my spinning rod, so I picked up my fly pole and started fly casting , with no regard for him I might add. He soon left then...

Went to JC last Friday and C&R like 30-40, it was a great day fishing, just what I needed! Also, here is one I just couldn't release, and a friend of his to round out supper. Grampa Ron took the pic with my new smart phone! :) Hope to do as well today!!:cool:

Thanks for the heads up, I will still try Friday, although the fish seem to disperse rather quickly at AB, there ought to be a few left, maybe I can entice them with my fly rod.Anyway, I'm OFF to work, gotta love starting at 4am.

Wish I was gonna be there Thursday, I have not had a good day of fishing in a few weeks. I thankfully got called back to work, so not so much fishing time anymore. I will probably be there Friday though, unless I get the overtime I signed for, doubtful since I am the lowest senority at the mill...

I agree with Ron, Cottage Grove pond is a sure thing, just check the stocking report, and be sure it was stocked recently. I went there last week and caught fish on a Power egg almost instantly, I was fly fishing, but having a hard time as there are a lot of trees and brush to get tangled on...

Where did you get that? ?I have been meaning to ask Ron, but I keep forgetting. Whenever I see him we are fishing, and thats all I think about. /i would like to pick one up if they are not too spendy...

The bite has been really bad there this week, even the day they stocked there was not much action. By now the Cormorants have eaten a lot of the fish. Hopefully the action will improve by April when they start stocking it again. Last season it was much better fishing there this time of year.
