Agree with all the above! Stop somewhere and get a tub of herring Smelly Jelly. Then at the marina you can buy the blue and black/grey swim/jig baits and jig heads. Slather some smelly jelly on that herring swim bait, cast, and bend your knees slightly because the hit is coming. :D

I would love to, but I just moved back from Washington and can't get tags for 6 months! Mill Creek to Salmonberry is a great run though, not difficult at all. You should have no problem finding someone to float with!

A buddy went up the Alsea hatchery today. Tons of fish in the traps.
