I am seeing the same problems with the trout I have caught. Two of us fished last weekend and half of our catch looked really bad. They have some sort of disease and look too ugly to eat. I took photos and contacted ODFW, but no reponse so far. Has anyone else here contacted ODFW about this...

Thanks to all who replied with some worthwhile info. Some of you I'm not sure what planet you're from. I just wanted to find out how hard it is right now to launch a boat to do some fishing with there being only one dock available. I'm not sure what all this other stuff is that has shown up...

I'm wondering if there is any sign of the new docks at boat ramp C yet? Is boat ramp A very busy? Thanks for any info. I'm hoping to get out there Friday.

Were you fishing from the bank or boat? What size were you catching?

Wow, a 12" perch! All I've ever caught there are dinks. I've found Hagg to be tough fishing for trout this year for some reason. Last year limits were easy. This year I've been skunked more times than I like to remember. Was the water level pretty low when you were there? How's the water temp?

Thanks everyone for all your replies. I do prefer the trout that have been in the lake for awhile over the newly stocked ones, so I will probably go try my luck this weekend. Maybe try to catch some bass or bluegill if the trout fishing is slow. If anyone else has any reports it would be great...

Also a small frog pattern flatfish is a great addition.

Yes, the record smallmouth was caught at Hagg: 8 lb, 1.76 oz. It was caught in 2005. Not sure what it was caught on.

My largest was 16", caught on a piece of nightcrawler while fishing for trout at Hagg Lake.
