I bought a Bi Mart toon a month ago and have yet to get wet at all, sometimes I put my feet in the water just to cool off. I love my toon, it's the greatest thing since canned beer and sliced white bread. BTW Bi Mart has them on sale right now for $219
I'm so jazzed I can hardly sleep when I get to thinking about it. Now that I've got my 'toon I'm thinking that I might spend some time down in the tidewater of the Trask.
Does your wife know you've been tossing her fine furniture in the river to go fishing? I'm getting ready to build a heavy "sharpie" and you've given me inspiration and a lot of good ideas. One of the nicest boats I've ever seen. Kudos to you sir!!! Well done.
I have found that not having a keel is a pain in the arse as well when I'm trying to row in a straight line. I am going to set up a keel on my toon that attaches to the frame work under the seat and can swing up out of the way. I will post pics when I get it done.
