What kayak did you go with?

I have no regrets selling my pb, love my kayak! My advice would be to keep looking for a used setup, keep watching the classifieds on NWKA website.

When I was younger my uncle took me too a place in north Portland, just down the road from the Expo center, it was a very shallow lake. Carp Everywhere, I believe it was called Smith Lake? I could be very wrong and someone on here should know for sure but that is the only place I know of.

I suspect you will, I've seen you in your drift boat fishing with 2 to 3 rods at the same time. Hmmm! Wonder if that betters your chances of a limit? What do you use in the fall/early winter, Gill Nets?

Think it will close down about mid to the end of November. Growing up I have been up above that lake during the winter, not really that bad of a drive. I could understand if they closed the park areas down since the county does maintain them, but why close all the lake to fishing?? New study...

No doubt, its a shame that lake is not open year round

Knew I should have went on wednesday, only a few weeks of good fishing left. After the first of September the fishing out there is no good!;)

I caught a few last Sunday up above Spruce Run at Lost Lake. Just stocked, nothing big but lots of fish.
