    Places in town Tigard/Portland

Commonwealth Lake is controlled by Taulatin Parks and except for stocked trout they refuse to allow warm water fish. They have delusions that salmaon and steelhead will make their way up the creek. To damn warm.. The Oregon Bass and Panfish stocked the lake with crappie, bluegill and bass but...

    Columbia largemouths

fish crankbaits and spinner baits around the wing dams and largemouth fishing picks up in late August through October when the water drops and slows down and the smallies go deep. The river will be full of shad fry and largemouth fishing is good in the channel as well.

    Fishin two poles

ODFW is looking at using it for all waters as it is bringing in quite a bit of money. Might even get enforcement to check anglers with that second rod. On the Snake catfishermen use extra rods 24/7 and enforcement picks up all the extras they claim aren't theirs. Last 4th between Brownlee and...

    Fishing from the bank

Boat ramp C has many safe areas and places were the bank isn"t steep. A number of people even set up by picnic tables and fish for trout. Look for an area the has some grass nmearby you can cast to with a bobber and 1/3 worm. Bluegill are moving to the bank to spawn and are fun and easy to...

    Multnomah channel bass?

Another good spot is the upper end of the channel at the head of Sauvies Island it is a good feeding flat as water from the the Columbia and the Willamette both wash down there. Rattle traps, spooks and grubs all work well. Fish inside and outside of the pilings. Good money spot in tournaments.

Spring runoff usually ends by the 4th of July, wait 2 weeks and it will drop to summer level. Scappoose Bay at Bayport has a good launch and once you leave the bay there a rock piles outside on your right going upstream. About 5 miles upstream is the mouth of the Gilbert river and a boat...

    Spider block fish structures

Fishermen need to go to Hagg and see it in the fall. Bureau of Reclamation and park people every year remove structure from the lake and leave it barren. All fish need some structure, algae, plankton, zoo plankton, are all part of the food chain and need structure to grow on. Over the years...
