Small mouth and crappie Portland Area (Swan Island)

Fished Swan Island yesterday, mostly for crappie. Caught 3 small small mouth, several perch, half dozen scaulpin, a pumpkinseed and 46 crappie kept 34. Crappie went from 6" to 121/2" most 8" or more. We fished for carp an hour, ODFW Clackamas office needs some for turtle bait they can be dropped at front desk for Sue Barnes. Small mouth good from the falls to downtown. Crappie and small mouth should spawn big time on the next full moon. Dark or green jigs with Berkley crappie nibbles worked best for crappie. all types of jigs.

Sounds like you had quite the day out there! I wouldn't eat anything caught near swan island though, it's by far the most contaminated stretch of the Willamette.
