I hear ya. seems like everthing being late is the name of the game nowdays. Seen your post on the 4 lb test steelie. Awesome!!! and yes the smallies do seem to have a soft spot for the "mah hah magic" bait when rigged texas style.
Been swacking um last couple weeks using straight chrome candy for bait with a little split shot under the ol bobber. Also been hanging some jig tippers off the spinners siwash hooks to get the short strikers to inhale um. Took the kid out on dads day and got to watch him tie into his second...
:)........... Should have seen the water in depoe bay this mornin , smooth as silk. gots to get me a kayak. have a feelin will i will be chatin with ya a lot in the future about this ocean kayak thing;)
;) Thnx steelhead 1. like i said before im not into hidin behind a screen talking smack just a fishin fool that found a bait that works like a champ on steelies and other types of fish and enjoy manufacturing bait for a sport that i live for. Thats all i got to say bout that ;)
Those be the the "river wigglers". First started using um on the steelies when soaked in steelie lovin colors and flavors but figured i would see what happens in the salt and seems to get gobbled up also. As of now i just have um up for sale on the website but here shortly got me some local...
Not a bay just a calm day, I hear ya on the ocean kayak the more i check into fishing out of the sit on top ocean kayaks the more i think i got to get me one!. Did some fishin out of a smaller sit it last summer and it worked like a champ in the river. The ocean fishin out of a yak looks killer!
Went little further offshore this time testin the Stickleback in the salt. Found the "River wiggler" was liked by all. Good weather, great fishin.........good times!
