    Bass in Morgan Lake?

Hate to revive such an old post, but here goes. My father knows a kid that successfully caught very nice bass out of morgan. And when i say nice, i mean in the 3 lb range. Have seen pictures of the kid with several different very nice bass. I have yet to try, and have only been back up there...

    Is your motor safe?

I know some locks are way better than others. You really get what you pay for. I have had to break into a few locked cabinets on my property that i didn't have a key for, and a friend knew a locksmith and told me a trick. That was stupid and easy. I guess locks are really only good for keeping...

    Walleye question

I guess there is a few of us that are interested in walleye fishing. Thinking of making a trip to the columbia sometime soon with a friend. Will make note of how we do if there is any luck.

    Hook sizes

Usually whatever comes standard on cranks. They do not last long enough for me to replace hooks. I am very hard on lures. If i am flipping, usually a 5/0.

Boats vs bank anglers who has the "right of way"

Way i figure it, and i havent salmon fished much, bank fishermen have right of way. When i fish out of my boat, sometimes i come across people on the bank. Usually just avoid those places altogether. Should the need arise that i fish the same bank people are on, i would go around them and...

    "Sand Drop" razor clams

They are delicious! Have not had those in quite some time. Might have to make a trip for clams sometime with the family.

    Smallmouth bass?

Thats just bullpoo. Spend the money to have a replica of the bass made and have that for a great memory. Cannot believe it costs that much to even get put into the record book. Thats the first time ive heard of that. But then again, never tried it myself. Nice bass though.

    Brownlee help needed

Sag road is a good access point. As those before mentioned, crappie heads or chunks worked great for me. Smallest cat i have pulled out was 22 inches. Biggest so far is a 28 incher and get this, it was on kfc chicken. Believe it or not. I have heard wonders about chicken liver. Freeze them day...

What percentage of your fishing tackle purchases are made online?

90% of my lures i buy online. The ones i use the most for bass fishing are not around here in stores. Bass tackle is about 99%. If it is steelhead or trout gear, locally. Got a few spots that sell for those who make custom jigs that work for steelies.

    Got some pre-spawn fatties!!

What model is that reel? Cannot really tell. Picked up a sixgill hyperion last year, the 6.3:1 spool. I dont know why but i like having the same speed for all my reels. No guessing or trying to remember which does what. If i had to choose, i would stick with the citica. I love the hyperion dont...

    Coastal hunting

My dad and i had no luck with making it work. Maybe certain phones? I already obtained a gps unit so i am not too worried at this point. If it works for some people, then awesome. Kind of a bummer but i think i would rather use separate devices. That way my phone stays charged for when i need...

    Coastal hunting

As awesome as that is, i cannot use that app where i usually hunt. There isn't any cellular service and it doesn't work unless there is service. At least for what i have went through. Thats why i use, or prefer, a gps unit that works with satellites. I wouldnt want to get into a dead zone and not...

    Coastal hunting

My wife is from brookings. She has told me that people have gotten lost very easily because everything looks the same. All i can tell you is pack a gps unit and be safe. Other than that, i dont know much about how hunting is over there.

    Best winter baits?

You are right. Pound for pound, the smallmouth bass is the hardest fighting freshwater fish. However, there is a report i read somewhere that a bluegill may actually be the hardest fighting freshwater fish pound for pound.
