    Any good crappie spots?

I've caught quite a few around Bethany pond, it if full of them. You will been a small hook with a small worm, they will grab it all day. Crappie there are small though. There's large ones on the Gilbert River around the boat launch dock area. You can also walk upstream from the parking lot...

    Spring trout

I thought both Bethany and Commonwealth were supposed to be stocked this week. Stopped by Bethany today, didn't fish, but it didn't look like it got stocked. No one else was there fishing either.

Google Ocean Point Inn, I literally fish right in front of it, pretty sheltered area, and I walk up and down there until I find them. The other area mentioned in this thread is also quite good and has some nice holes as well.

They were bitting today, I got 9, all good size. I started around 7.30, done before 10. I had to move around a bit to find them, but once I did I even had a double on. Weather was perfect! Get out there and catch some!

That's what meant! I also do well around the Cape Arch area, Google Ocean Point Inn, I fish that area often as it tends to be sheltered from the wind. Question is, do we know that perch bite this time of the year? Tempted to go tomorrow and check it out.

troutfisher - I've done really well in that area, I am talking to sandy beaches between Depoe Bay and Cannon Beach, there is fish there for sure. I am not sure if they bite this late in the year though, but many seem to think they do. Try moving about if you get no bites, like every 10 minutes...

    W F O perch bite

They seem to be larger towards Cali border thats for sure! We fished for a few hours in Gold beach last year and it was quite evident that perch there were significantly larger than what we typically catch around Cannon Beach and Seaside.

Nicely done, that would be a fun day! No need to give exact details if you don't want to, but where about are you roughly? I have not fished for perch this summer yet, would love to get out there.

    2 rod rules and sturgeon

That would be so much fun, would love to catch one of those suckers, for some reason I cannot to get one. I was hopeful I could catch one at Big Eddie this year, but since that is closed, sounds like this will be my best bet. How far downstream do you go from the Boat ramp? Assuming you are...

    2 rod rules and sturgeon

I saw that ODFW closed Gilbert river, and based on what you describing, there is no way they could regulate that river. As much as it stinks that the river is closed, long term survival rate of these fish is the most important issue. Too bad as I was looking forward to some fishing there...
