Went there Saturday afternoon, I was the only one catching anything in the area. Got 8 (catch and release) in a about an hour. I was using powerbait balls, slide weight and about a 3 ft leader.

What were you using out there?

I might have to try spinners next time I go out there. No pics, I threw those guys on the grill as soon as I got home.

I had been skunked in Salem and Hagg Lake about 12 times total so I made my way to Eugene today and to hit my old college fishing spot. I was able to pull in 2 11inch trout today....I am just happy the cold streak is over!

I don't know what the deal is, I went the day they stocked and I went again last night and this morning, all with no luck. It is weird because I caught 12 fish total after 3 straight days of fishing there off powerbait.

No Luck No Luck I have gone out to the canal the last few days, went once tuesday and twice wednesday and had no luck. I was using power eggs for a while then I switched to a thomas lure and still didn't even get a bite. Any advice?

I stopped by Mazama's the other day, the fishing part of it isn't too bad. There was a guy and a girl working and they were actually pretty helpful. They did however say that they have not yet added their fly fishing stuff yet but will soon.

Powerbait is the only stuff that has worked for me this year. My wife and I both hit limit within an hour using the rainbow color.

I am wondering where the best places are to buy bait and lures and all that good stuff around Eugene? I imagine there are better places to go then walmart :)
