Hi all,
Looking to get into shore fishing for ling cod and rock fish. I was hoping to find some good areas close to coos bay. Anyone have any info? Locations, tackle, etc. Anything would be much appreciated!

Fish OFF of jetties or rocky outcroppings or by kelp for those species. Soft plastics on jig heads would be a go to. Count on losing some gear to the rocks. You can also use bait under a slip bobber. I'd use herring on a mooching rig for Ling cod and sand shrimp for rockfish and greening. The bobber keeps your gear out of the rocks. Have your bobber stop 10- 15'. That's how I've done it.
