Anyone know where the salmon are?

I live in Salem so I'm looking for something close. I was going to hit the salmon river by 101 but wasn't sure if the fish were still coming in?

    A couple of Q's

I was planning to hit the North Santiam on Nov 1st for some nooks and I was wondering if I can fish on the 1st or do I have to wait till the 2nd? Also where would my best bet be? I was also wondering where all the steelhead are? I hear they are high up on the river but what does that mean? Big...

Steelhead in Northfork what to use?

I went up that river today from the hwy to bear creek and didn't see/catch a thing. There weren't even baby fish just some chubs under the bridge... Your spot must be high up

    Good choice?

Thanks for the info guys. I might get it just to practice and see if fly fishing is really something I'd like. I can put a heavier line on the reel right?

Big Cliff dam to Stayton 6am-3pm.

I might try sand shrimp next time I hit Niagra. Everyone says sandshrimp are slayers but I've never caught anything inland with them.

Bass At Detroit - Where to start

Well the boat that I'll be on doesn't have any down riggers so I might just tie a rock to the boat and use rubber bands and shower curtain rings if I can find 200' of rope. Just how deep could I expect to get with about 100yds of 12lb line out attached to a three way swivel loaded with a 2 oz...

Tell me more about these chinokanee please. I'll be out on Detroit Thursday and wouldn't mind a nudge in the right direction along with a nod towards the right gear.

    27 inches took my virginity

Moderator must have taken down the x rated fish porn I put up. I thought this was an adult forum, isn't that why it asked my age? Lol. You can even see my photo with the title under it on the front page

    27 inches took my virginity

Ok I see. Thanks for the info. Here I was thinking the split ring on my kastmaster was so I wouldn't need a swivel. I'm a firm believer that less is more. Keep it simple.

    27 inches took my virginity

Maybe they hit harder later in the season? I've been looking into the r&b spoons and had a few questions. First off does the single hook work as well as a treble? Second, they look really light so I figure they are hard to cast without weight especially on a heavy steel pole n line. How do you...

    27 inches took my virginity

It hit like a car. I heard steel were soft biters so the bit of jigging action I used prolly set the hook right away starting the fight instantly. Does anyone else jig their lures? I find it really helps when fish are tight lipped.
