Crabbing and fishing in florence is about half has good as newport. Throwing jigs around the jetty in newport will catch a lot of nice fish. The lings are still in close so you have a good chance of getting a few 22" plus fish.

Fish always come off, no matter what you do, just makes it fun. I lose more fish in current because you have the added weight of the water resistance. When i hook fish on a lure with slower water i usually dont lose them.

Yes sir there is a tube, mine fell out and trust me, dont try and hook it back up. They become brital. Buy a new rubber tube at jerrys for 1$ and hook it up. Good as new. (fyi) a good pair of long needle nose fishing plyers will get that hose out for u. :)

At crane a lot of things work, a inflated worm 3' off the bottom works great, but throwing a live helgramite on lite line with a small hook under a float kills trout!. Casting small rapalas can also get you giant trout and nice bass.
