I grew up close to Freeway Lakes and currently live less then two miles from it. Sometimes I go out there when I'm bored with the boat to land a few quick bass but now I have other places close by I actually enjoy fishing more. I was there one day when a kid landed a bass pushing 8 pounds...
I still can't consider it really fair if the hook goes from the outside of the lip to the inside of the lip. That's just me though and I know legally they don't specify. Personally I just don't like it.
Either way these guys could have been using a clear corkie and got the same results. Other then perhaps the color of the corkie and the polarized glasses helped them know when to pull the hook into the corner of the fish's mouth. They pretty much just got all the fish in the back though.
I guess I don't understand the difference in the action of one bait slowly bouncing along the bottom with 7 feet of leader vs 36" of leader or even a bobber fished where the bait is bouncing along the bottom. If a fish is hungry or mad at a bait coming at it would it be able to tell the maybe...

I'm sure we were on the north coast if you lived somewhere like say...Brookings...but if you lived in Astoria you'd consider it south. Since some people get so anal when rivers that have fish are revealed I don't want to start a fight. It seems like a huge secret from what I've read on here.
