Anyone out there fish Willow for Kokanee?

A friend told me there were some in that lake.

No kokanee in Willow, Ive fished it a lot. They stock it pretty heavy with rainbow though.

That is odd, he mentioned seeing them running up the creek in the back. Could they be landlocked chinook?

By the way are the crappie biting up there yet?

Crappie will be there abundance this time of year. Best lake for kid fishing. They never get bored.

Lake is mostly stocked with rainbows. But the do throw in some land lock Salmon.

Interesting about the salmon, I bet they are excess spring chinook smolts from Cole rivers. Thanks for the info!

The crappie are usually good by now, especially with the warm weather. When they come into the shoreline to spawn we slay them using a plain #14 gold treble hook, it's an old trick for crappie in clear water, works great!
