I was in a canoe at the time and had done a roll cast back up stream and heard my reel hit the bottom of the boat. The butt cap was gone and not in the bottom of the canoe. River City Fly, has a relation with Redington and they couldn't get the part. It looked like a simple fix! @hobster Was with me that day.

Well, I finally pulled the trigger. I ordered the Redington, Butterstick in 4wt. I gave the butt cap an extra look, and everything looks good to go. I've loaded the reel with floating 120grs. (true & real 4wt line) of FW. I believe this rod is going to be the perfect Bluegill and the "California Put & Take" Trout rod...

I've had to shorten the "Overhang" some. With a couple of false casts, "Away it goes!". Might try a DT4 next, with a longer, finer taper, and a DT's really don't have an "Overhang", per say...
