What tackle do I need

Hi I will be visiting Portland and Tillamook area and want to catch my first salmon while I am here. What kind of set up should I try? I heard spin glo works. But is there any other lures that can help me catch salmon?

If your bank fishing try casting big spinners like blue foxes. Color does not really matter just pick a color you like or ask the person in the tackle shop what is working. Hoochie spinners could possibly work as well.
