Lost one at Barton today...it stole my jig. If anyone finds it, please send it back ;)

May not be stellar, but fish have been biting and all the following fish but one are still swimming the river.

Nice job man. What color jig in case I run into the punk? Was up in the stomping grounds Sunday & Monday and got a few floats in myself. We went 4/5 in those days including one big ol' Coho that demolished a plug. Three of which came in our last hour of daylight last night where each of us on the boat hit one. Was pretty cool.

They are definantly around. Maybe not in numbers yet, but there is fish to be had if you put in some work. .

May the season continue to bring you chrome...

Cheers,

It was a Woolly Bugger, white head, white/pink maribou...thanks for keeping an eye out for it :)

That's got to be one of my best producing jigs.

Maybe I won't give it back... L o l.

Hehehe.

I have basically two jigs I use on the Clack. Some parts of the year it's the white/pink combo, other months it's the nightmare...both with white heads. Just those two out perform any others I've thrown.

man i hope i can get out this weekend sat ill be on the river for last hours of daylight or so i hope.......

I've been laid up. No Clack for me lately. My buddy has done two quick drifts, and gone 3/4. All natives, oddly enough.

That's pretty good...and all nates doesn't surprise me, actually. That native I caught was further up than the other fish I've caught, and I suspect there would have to be more than one that came in.

My bro said they haven't been putting up much of a fight in the 37* water. The fish he landed all seem pretty small, but said he had a monster come undone, and saw a couple of others swimming by. Fished nothing but jigs so far, probably do some plugging when the water comes up a bit and gets into winter-rowing-shape.

I'll hopefully be giving actual firsthand reports in the next week. Getting tired of getting pics via text in real-time when I haven't been able to go.

And I guess what I meant, is that in years gone by, the bulk of the early run was hatchery fish, with the nates coming in better numbers later on. Rarely used to see a nate before mid-January. I guess switching to the broodstock changed things a bit.
