I went to my hideout this morning to avoid the crowds. Not much for the size, just good numbers of native rainbows makes for a relaxing time. Largest was maybe 8" and actually picked up a cutthroat which I hadn't done here before. Approx 15 fish in a few hours... and one salamander keeping me company.

nah... the reel is about a month or two old though. I forgot I broke mine at the close of last season. First trip out I went to pull some line and was met with a lovely grinding noise.

can u catch anything there on spinning gear? how?

I think I picked some up on small rooster tails the first time I was in the area. I think any small spinner could get attention. Last time I went I took a spin rod with a small clear bobber and a few feet of leader to the fly and I actually had more consistent hook ups than with my fly fishing gear. I think it was a torpedo bubble ??? not the kind that fill with water.

ill give it a try:D

I usually use and adams or ant pattern.
