Umpqua bass

My daughter has a friend that loves to fish. He's a good kid so I like to take him out a few times each summer. It's also the only way I can get my daughter interested in going. Not to mention we have to buy treats on the way and promise ample time to swim.

We stayed close to ramp so the fish were all small and a little harder to catch but lots of hook ups and plenty to the boat. Wacky rigged white worms did most of the damage but we tossed a crawdad plug that caught fish too.

It turned out to be a perfect evening on the water. Caught as many fish as they wanted and swam until it was just about dark. The Umpqua is so warm right now I can't imagine the salmon will be coming up anytime soon. Still praying for rain and cold weather.

For sure. I have no interest in bass fishing myself but it's always a great time with kids. Looks like were headed out a little earlier today so they can get more swimming time in.
