Tubes for steelhead

Has anyone tried using tubes for steelhead? I had an idea to drift fish a pink tube with the biggest corkie i could fit inside the tube to float it and just run the hook upside down inside of it.

Havnt tried them I see that mad river makes some tubes, picked up some of the worms the other day had them on sale at fishermans for 2.99

I've done this once before last year and it actually worked, although I must say there are many more techniques that are far more effective.

Ive done that a few times, no success yet but it looked good.
