Trout baits and hooks

Do you need to step down the hook size if fishing lures like the Rapala's when fishing for trout as I would think that the hooks that come with them are to big and for Bass not Trout.

I do fine with a jointed rapala without down sizing the hook. always felt that the extra hooks helps make a better hook set.

yes, when I'm not trolling. I crank and pause, probably pause more than cranking to give it that injured bait fish action.
