AHHHH YEAH!
just caught my second Steelhead.
went out to the Kalama for a derby.
6 people. 2 teams. $20 entry.
fish for steelhead from 6:30 - 9:30
80% goes to team or person with most fish
20% goes to best fish as voted by everyone.
got down to the river really early.
3rd cast... BAM FISH ON!
caught this nice steelhead drifting eggs.
no one else caught anything so I won $100 and some bragging rights for this novice fisherman.
in total our team had 4 fish on, but only mine was landed.
other team was skunked.
I also got one on a #3 R&B black blade, orange body spinner, but it spit it out about 4 feet from the bank.
looks like the time I spend on the river is starting to pay OFF
