Siltcoos River fish

Caught these fish in siltcoos river, does anybody know what they are called?

No idea, but those look cool!

No idea either and they do look really cool!

Next time, I'd recommend not killing any fish that you can't identify. They might not be open for retention.

Some type of bluegill ? I don't know but there pretty fish

sure looks a lot like a surf perch too me you catch at the beach

Looks like maybe a perch hybrid. Or, surf perch maybe colored up to spawn in the river?

Beautiful fish. How did they taste? What method did you use, to catch 'em?

I caught them in the river, there were hundreds schooled up. I opened up one and they had these little fish in there stomach.

My kids caught them on a worm.
