Coho are 1/day 5/year. However if you get your siuslaw coho which is 1/day 2/year, that goes towards your 5/year at the lake and you can then only retain 3 lake coho. The 20 is for Chinook and does not apply to coho. The guide was probably making reference to a hatchery card which you can use after you fill your first tag, but it's only for hatchery fish which you will not find in the siuslaw basin or the coho lakes.
Got out on the water around 9am and the wind was blowing like crazy.but me and the wife hunkered in and was tagged out by 11 .nice buck 31 inches and the hen my wife caught was 29 inches
I have my initial tag that I bought when I was on the Rogue in Jan. Roger, are you guys saying I could put 20 wild fish on it but only 5 coho, 2 river 3 lake. I have my river coho, so I can get 3 more lake silvers and fill up the rest of my tag with wild kings? heck, that's enough fish to last me fur sure. I'm poor, and looking for pt work. had an interview at the casino here when I first got here in sept. But if one has any spare fish no matter what kind, I'll put it to good use. I love Alaskan Cod.
if the state lets peeps continue to purchase 1 day tags and they mark down 5 wild coho from the river, then that sounds stupid to try? if the state lets people buy more than 1 tag per year then it seems to me they are asking for trouble. I just don't know! Then dfw would have to keep records of peeps names in their data base wouldn't they? I never knew you could buy more than 1 tag.
So ur saying people are buying a one day license for 1 river coho? Then turning around and buying another, and another etc etc.
Sounds good to me, as long as they are paying their $16.75 per fish. Thats over $80 for 5 coho, and normally would cost a person bout $60, so the ODFW gets $20 more in revenue!

we fished the Fiddle Cr. arm for 2 hours this evening. No luck for us but did see 2 of the three other boats up there catch one. And of course, they both kept fishing ALL lines afterwards. Very disappointing.
