Shrimp for catfish

I used shrimp the other day and caught catfish like crazy with a couple over 10lbs! Could shrimp be the best bait for catfish? Let me know

I have caught a lot of cat fish using shrimp with the shell takin off mostly channel cats it's my favorite
bait for cats.

I hadn't thought of that before, but it makes sense...since their fresh water cousins get eaten by cats.

I hadn't thought of that before, but it makes sense...since their fresh water cousins (crawdads) get eaten by cats.

What kind of shrimp works best? Last year I tried some cock tale shrimp in a pond known for channels and only had one bite.

So, how do you prepare them in your kitchen--so the cats will devour them?
