Just moved up here from AZ really looking forward to a year of great fly fishing. Wondering if anyone has some pointers on some decent walk-ins. going to start hanging around Royal Treatment shop, see if i can tag along with some fishing vets.

Try the Sandy and Clackamas this time of year... and once the summer time comes try the Deschutes. I know a few fly-fishing buddies who love the access and lack of trees out there. Have fun!

That fly shop is great I was there yesterday for theirs saturdays fly tying clinic! (it's free) the guy who was tying was great he showed me some tricks!! Anyways welcome to the forum and are you after trout, steelhead, salmon, carp??

I'm gonna try the sandy river next thanks for the tip.fishing for all salmonids definitely and trout at least that's the plan until I find a fishing buddy with a boat

Just so you know trout season isn't for another couple months aside from pond/lakes so you will need to pick up your salmon/steelhead tag before you head out. The Sandy is an awesome river and has lots of great access. Good luck!
