I just called about a Sage Fly rod for sale in Creswell.

It was bought in 1984, and still new and mint w/ sock and original case. It was a 8.5 ' fiberglass 6 weight, 2 piece. Model # B1934.

It was just purchased for $150! Someone got a really good deal!

Dude, those things are worth a mint, and they cast like a dream. I am pretty sure they were all s-glass, and had awesome speed.

Yep, that's what I figured. If memory serves me...one of the driving forces behind Fenwick (Don Greene), is the founder of Sage. So it makes great sense that a fiberglass Sage is a "Mean Lean Fish Fighting Machine"!

One of my prized fishing possessions is a 4-piece combo fly or spin Fenwick...7 footer. I found it at a yard sale about 15 - 20 years ago, and in almost MINT condition.

I didn't know any better back then, but I had a professional rod builder remove the old school guides. He re-wrapped with new Fuji guides. But, he did such a fantastic job that it looks like it came from the factory that way! I use it sparingly, and it still looks minty.

Me love Fenwick!!!
