Been fishing some local streams caught a lot of dinks and a few decent ones. Caught some rainbows too. Wooly bugger and a several dry flies mostly parachute adams and elk hair caddis. Hopefully I’ll get to go after some sea runs soon!
If you haven't tried Borden Specials for the Bluebacks (sea runs)...get some. Developed decades ago by legendary Oregon fisherman Bob Borden. This is what they look like (pic below taken from the Caddis Fly Shop site).
Bluebacks also gobble up Rooster Tails with brown bodies and gold/brass blades. Because they mimic a major food source: crawdad babies.

Thanks I only have one in my fly box, so I’ll have to tie up some more. I’ve had chinook salmon chase it and caught a few tiny trout on this pattern. Hopefully I can get a bigger cutthroat or salmon on it.
