Record high

I was cruising around the USGS water flow site yesterday and noticed something interesting. The Rogue was at a record high flow. The old record was 3340cfs in 1984 and yesterday the river was running at 3520cfs. Normally it's only around 1500cfs. That should put it into perspective for any of you who are wanting to visit the river soon.

The fishing has finally picked up the last couple of days down in the bay, but fish are still moving upriver.

I'm headed down to Almeda tomorrow to put in Saturday for 4 days. Can't wait!

Good luck. I've been hearing of quite a few salmon rolling down there.

Interesting....at 3,500 cfs the summer runs! should side-drift really well! Probably fish them just like winter fish

Its crazy to have a flow this steady and high for August, its a legitimate spring time run off flow. Will make easy boating down through the W/S a lot less bashing around through the fish ladder for the big boats, and the middle shoot will still be running.
