from a thread i made today but thought i would contribute to this thread, heres a cutty i got yesterday on the 4wt. size 16 possie bugger was all it took to entice the fella. been experimenting with all sorts of different body and leg materials for different prince type patterns to use in tandem with a possie bugger, mixed two different types of dubbing that seems to be working very well.

I love fishing the Metolius in the snow! There is something clam and peaceful about it. Well here's a couple of the big bruisers from last year, not sure if I posted these up before or not? Hopefully more fish move into the system or it may become tough to catch a fish out there. LOL :)

Understand ya on that one, but sometimes you got to get small with it. Have you ever fished the Owyhee? Here's a couple that came on 18's and 20's, and 22's.

Cheers

thats it,,im comin over and fishin with you

You just have to give me a heads up quite a bit in advance and we'll see what we can do. I typically can only fish on the weekends though. :( Hence the "Weekend Warrior" thing rings so true! :)

Found some more pix of that Big Brownie. This is from last year but what the hey, I've got so many pix that need to get seen. How could I ever forget this fish??

yeah my uncle took the picture, would have loved my face in there too, but it's betetr then no pic at all i suppose..probably would have looked creepy cause it was one of the biggest smiles ive ever had on my face.. nothing fights harder then a chrome bullet on the 8wt! still sticking with trout though, ill do salmon in the fall but i am a dedicated trout angler, always will be. :) possible metolius in the snow soon i think? so ill bring some fish porn back for ya if i can manage one of those spooky fish!

Well....... Finally locked-up with one really tight on a big enough hook not to straiten out (4/0 whitefish streamer). Wasn't the biggest one to chase it but it took it none the less. So count for the last three weekends is 1 for 7 with 3 straitened out hooks. The best part about catching this fish was watching this fish chase it 5 feet then watching the fly disappear. The other cool thing was hooking a whitefish before and seeing a bunch of big bulls chasing it a ways. Plus, first tracks in the snow. :)

The driving can be a bit treacherous and how could I leave out the friendly (hungry) goose from the weekend before
