First Post...

Caught this beauty in mid. April using Power Bait. Put up a great fight on 6lb. test. Landed without a net. Olalla is a great lake, should be a special section for it.

Yes, Olalla is regularly stocked. I've been there twice this season. It is a fun place to go. Check the ODFW trout stocking schedule.

I watched a fellow bring in a 28" steelie back in February (w/ a 5' ultralight and 4 lb line & a Little Cleo spoon). And, my own stringer contained one 15 incher, two 16's and two 17's!

I didn't do so well last Saturday. But, I did bag one 16.5 incher. He's now renting space in my fridge! LOL

Nice fish! I've fished Olalla a few times, caught some nice trout but never any steelies. There are also huge bass in that lake but they seem to have some serious lockjaw. Congrats!
