I was perusing the updates on the odfw columbia zone page. It appears that the october retention season has been cancelled. Unless I missed something of course. Always catch n release opportunities though!

Agree that it should be C&R, the catch and kill mentality when it comes to these fish just makes my heart sink everytime I see someone holding one up. These fish will be extinct in the next 50 years at this rate, so I can't say I'm sad to see it shut down to retention.

Yep, retention is closed in Columbia for remainder of year. There will be a one day season on the Willamette in October.
