i dont have any creeks or rivers that i can fish for the winter... i hate winter.

So I was Just cruzin craigslist and there is a float tube for $40- all you need is a couple wooly buggers and a nice lake and your flyrod is released from this winter prison!!

I'm lucky that the river that flows through town has a special reg that keeps it open in the winter to artificial flies and lures. catch and release only. as long a it's not iced over......

Are the creeks in your area open for bass and other warm water species? If so than those fish do make it into the river...:think:...and they eat flies and stuff too, maybe even a streamer pattern mimicking a trout...
