Still not too much of a difference from one trash fish to another! Ha ha jk. I bet you had a blast landing that fish though, and that's what matters
frofishing, in looking at the fish again, and I'm wondering if it was really 8 pounds? I'm no carp/sucker expert but it looks more like a 2 pound specimen?

I just found out it's a sucker fish, and I let my friend keep it and he said he weighed it, idk when I held it it felt like 5-6 pounds

Native large scale sucker I think...cool fish, congrats. But I agree...no way that fish is anywhere near 8 lbs. suckers do get pretty big around here though. What did you catch him on?

Nice sucker fish fro!! I haven't caught @ rooster rock but I only fish for an hour every new place. What bait/techniques did you use? I haven't caught a sucker fish yet but have seen people catch them while I caught carp; they seem to fall for the corn....seen pics of that sniper guy catching them there
Here's a 7 lb common carp if you want/need a reference; stupid carp learned how to spit out my size 2 circle hook hair rig so I switched to size sixes baitholders then I caught him 24 hours later...#hint
Looks like a respectable size sucker in my opinion
