McKenzie River 6/25

I am going to be in Eugene on 6/25 and I am looking for somewhere to fish for steelhead. Bank access since I won't have a boat. Anyone know a good spot for me to get to? I'm not familiar with the area and this will be my first time fishing the McKenzie. Any ideas on what lures work well there would be helpfull also. Thanks!

Looks like I might drive out to Deerhorn park. Anyone have any useful info about that spot?

thomas spoons in the 1/4 oz size, panther martins size 6, i like blue fox in #3.

with waters it would be ok, but water is still high and cold this time of year. i hooked one today at leaberg, it ran down soem fast rapids and broke me off!! such a challenge with 6 lb test lol. going to check it out tomorrow mornign b 4 work.
