Maxwell Lake/NW Expressway

Had plans to fish JC Pond for trout then move to golden gardens for bass but the wind was ripping!

Moved to the NW Expressway Pond (south of Beltline down the expressway, on the east side, intersection with Maxwell)

Caught a nice one in the rain and another quickly after, left after about 2 hours. Seen 3 other fish caught. Water is really dirty, both fish came on a spinnerbait

I would love to agree but unfortunately Bond Butte doesn't lol!

I know there's some really nice fish in there, I target them at the weirdest time which doesn't help

Got quite a few more waters to fish, heading to crane prairie today! Heading out in about 30 minutes

I feel.much better about it holding up, definitely water tight

And as usual, fix one thing and another breaks! My kayak cart is going out, I built it as a prototype so it may be time to build something a little nicer!

Definitely been a minute, but I gave it 2 hours yesterday.

Super low and water vis is maybe 12"

Caught everything on a 3" keitech, jigging it pretty fast

Did not know there was crappie in there, and a beaver
