Kokanee at Odell

I'll be up there Friday night with my boy. We'll sleep in the back of the suburban with a blue North River drift boat in tow. Say hi if you see me.

Not sure where I can legally park overnight. Any suggestions? I have property down past Crescent Lake but it's about 30 minutes away. I'm hoping to be closer to the lake. As in, extremely close to the ramp.

Unfortunately my raptor is still waiting on the impeller and stator to arrive. Looks like I'll head up next week at the earliest. Hope to hear some reports monday!

Last year we parked in the large gravel area where the pacific crest trail is. Right after you make the turn on the road that takes you down to the lodge. I don't remember what boat ramp was called.

Fished today pretty tough fishing for most. We worked hard for 75 for 7 people might go out again tonight weather was cold. Conditions should improve. biggest fish was 14.5, most were 12-13.

I was up there but about a mile before Willamette pass I blew out a wheel bearing on my trailer. By the time I got down to the lake it was too late and I blew out my other wheel bearing. Opening weekend could have gone a little better for us.

Ugh this is a fear I have with my trailer, I should probably inspect my bearings before I haul my boat to northern Washington this summer. O'Dell is a tricky mistress if you can't get out early, there's been days where this or that has gone wrong and by the time the boat is ready to launch its noon and I just say forget it lol. Afternoon fishing up there is usually not a good time in a little boat.
