Is Sturgeon fishing open at Tanner Creek

I have been steelhead fishing at Tanner Creek and I have hooked more sturgon than rocks of coarse loosing all my tackle, I think I will bring my heaver tackle and rod if someone can tell me if it is open.

Ya catch and release is fine, I saw people C&Ring sturgeon 3 weeks ago...

bout 4 hours from you up on the columbia river near bonneville dam.

Theres a tanner creek at hagg lake... and there is the tanner creek that flows into the columbia right under bonneville, where tons of steelhead and salmon are caught.

mebbe i'm wrong..but i always thought that C&R is not an option when its closed..well closed for retention... so yeah mebbe it is C&R

"Bonneville Pool Boat and Bank:
Effective 12:01 AM Saturday June 6, the retention of sturgeon in the Bonneville Pool and tributaries is prohibited because the harvest guideline of 700 legal white sturgeon has been reached. Catch and released angling is allowed through the remainder of the year."
