it's pretty slow at work today, and since we have a woodshop i figured why not give it a try! this is what i got so far, im sure colby is getting annoyed with all my questions :think:
i started with a log and am about 1/3 of the way done carving it...
it will be about 11-12 inches by the time im done hinging it

I didn't realize how much bass love christmas trees you can catch um in tree's on tree's who wood of thought.
 
well shoot... the cedar swimbait didn't work out so well...:(:(:(

but i started my 2nd, 3rd and 4th swimbaits today but this time im making them out of black walnut! hope it goes better...
 
I've heard maple works well for making lures.
 
So far TT I've just been using what I got Layin around :)

I'd be interested to see where you are with the swimbaits. Any pics of a finished (or mostly finished) bait?

i got angry at mine and threw it away.. back to the drawing board.. been too busy at work to have much time for swimbait makings :(
