Throwing sh-- at the wall and seeing what sticks...
Well, I just moved here from NH, and boy are my fins tired. (Waka-waka)
But seriously. I kept most of my ice gear, just in case I decided to go searching some day. Well, it really looks like I might not be traveling too far to find it. I was planning on waiting to get my lic. until the first of the year, but, if there is fishable ice, I'll probably get a three-day to appease the Gods. If there is anyone in the greater Portland area that wants to try something completely insane, I'd be up for meeting on Sunday. Like I said, I am newbie, so as far as lakes/species, I don't care. All I need to do is find a pond with about 4 inches on it, and I give it a whirl. I am not about to go through the ice for the sake of a couple of fish, but if we can find safe ice where we need it, I am game.
I've got a truck, so I can travel a few miles out if needed, But don't want to be too far that I have to get home with all the crazies on the road with the snow flying.
Anyone, anyone!?
Plus, I'd just love to send some hard water pics home to baffle my pals.
