Hult Pond paddles

NKlamerus
Finally got the fiance out of the house last Saturday and we paddled Horton pond (near Blachly, down the road from Triangle lake)

I brought a single fishing pole but never even saw anything swimming, the water was still 46-48 degrees.

Much shallower than expected, deepest I saw was about 22'

Its clear which is nice, just needs more time to heat up

Made another trip west, unfortunately the water was still ~55° and had some fronts come through with some good rain while I was up there

Caught 1 small bass and 2 cutthroat on a bass jig

My last stop of the day, thought it would be slammed but wasn't bad at all

Definitely cooler and windier, water temp was 68-70 at the surface but definitely colder down below.

Broke out the ultralight and had some fun catching dink's, saw one female cruising at dusk but she wouldn't commit.

Another round of dinks yesterday afternoon, definitely missed the spawn and it's low and weedy already.

Water is pretty brown, about 76 degrees, pretty busy for a Wednesday evening.

My usual set of dinks, absolutely no one out there other than the "host"

Dead still, no wind, I made one loop and left
